Good Morning Bloggie,

I went to the art group meeting yesterday and was inspired by what others have done. I learned a lot, too. I learned that what I create in my head and imagine as a project usually will not produce the exact same image after scissors are put to fabric.

I also learned if the first image doesn't work well, make another one. Others do this, too.

There is a group that meets in the south area twice a week that excluseively work on their own projects. I lost my place I used to sew once a week (read I left because of wagging tongues). I'm hopeful this group will be a better fit for me. A safe place I can go to piece my own stuff.

I'll keep you posted.

May 18, birthday eve eve

Dear Bloggie,

Two days until my birthday. I feel like a little kid. I'm going shopping on my b-day and buying fabric and clothes. I can't think of a better way to spend it. Also getting card to insert my cell phone chip into my computer to get the pictures off the phone. I have 152 pics on the phone. Mostly quilts. blah blah blah.

More later

Did a Halloween Quilt - that was a struggle to mentally go to October in May. I did it and it looks good.

Tomorrow is meet with long time customer in a far away place. Road trip.

May 6, 2010 the days' haps-my two cents worth

I finished a customer quilt that was interesting. The sprinkler guy came and fixed the whole system for a reasonable price. Loaded a Quilts of Valor quilt.

My quilt came back from Denver today with the judges comments. More texture in the fabric selection. That makes sense. My taste in fabric changed from 2006 when I made the quilt. More research and more hue, tint, shade and value study.

Good Evening

Well, I just was reading the Machine Quilting Professionals and found a blerb on blogs, and here I am. Who knew.

Lots of work in the shop. My shop is my house in Rancho Cordova, CA (near Sacramento). Deliver quilts today and picked up quilts today. Working on design ideas and special quilts for county fairs.

I'm getting caught up with quilts after a sabbatical due to surgery. Everything is fine and I am back up to speed. I feel great!

That's is for the first time. Will figure how to post pictures is a day or two.

Thank God this thing has spell check.
